What I'm Doing Now
Writing about ADHD
I also host the ADHD Nerds podcast which is a ~30 minute interview show with various people with ADHD, learning from their life experience.
Last year, I started writing my first book, Refocus: A Practical Guide to ADHD. It's more difficult than I expected, but I'm having a great time! Soon I'll need to figure out some of the more technical aspects of printing and distribution, but for now I'm focused on finishing up the content.
I'm nearing the finish line, but still have quite a bit of work to do. If you want to help out, you can sign up to be a beta reader at helpjessewrite.com.
I also recently announce my Refocus Your ADHD Brain course, based on the book but in a cohort-based course that will be focused on putting everything into action and developing your own Brain Strategy Playbook.
It starts in August and you can sign up at adhd.courses.
Front End Development
I've been working at Planning Center as a front-end designer/developer for over 7 years now. My role has recently changed from a product-specific Front End Designer to a Front End Developer on the Front End Systems Engineering team. Instead of working on our public-facing products, I work on internal tools for our designers and developers to use.
Living in Puyallup
Still living with the family in my hometown, Puyallup, WA. While it was really fun to spend a few years in California (I miss the beach), it's great to be back where it truly feels like home. I never knew I could miss seasons so much, but I find myself thankful for the rain.
Things I'm Missing
I haven't been to do much board gaming or going to conferences in the past couple of years for obvious reasons. I'm really excited to get back into doing both of those. I'd love to speak at a live conference again, it's been too long.
